The film centers on brothers Mohammad Saud and Nadeem Shehzad, who dedicate their lives to rescuing and rehabilitating injured birds in India. The documentary premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival on January 22, where it won the Grand Jury Prize in the World Cinema Documentary Competition. It was later showcased in the Special Screenings section at the Cannes Film Festival, earning the prestigious Golden Eye award. The film went on to receive an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary Feature and won a Peabody Award at the 84th ceremony, recognized for its “graceful portrait of empathy and interconnectivity between nature and man.”
