The vision of B Work is to make it easy (and eventually automatic) for purpose-driven jobseekers and employers to find each other. This will make the attraction of great talent into such a competitive advantage for social enterprises that it becomes a magnet for more companies to measure their impact, and join our movement. B Work’s meaningful work movement is growing through the community building efforts of our TEAM, our EMPLOYERS, our JOBSEEKERS, and our PARTNERS. JOBSEEKERS As the working world continues to climb up Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs towards self-actualization, the purpose, meaning and impact of your job is becoming increasingly important. Until now, looking for positions within social enterprises and companies that care about more than the bottom line was a manual, time-consuming, and frustrating task. Now with B Work, jobseekers have one place to find all the jobs from the most purpose driven companies in the world – and you don’t even have to look very hard. By creating a Job Alert you can have your dream job come to you as soon as it’s posted. EMPLOYERS With all the “corporate social responsibility” initiatives out there it’s hard to separate the truly good companies, from those who are just promoting their limited positive impact. That’s why B Lab created the B Impact Assessment. This tool provides a judgment (via an objective, comprehensive rating) on how significant a company’s current impact is. The only employers that can post on B Work are those who have verified or certified their B Impact Assessment, or have legal status as a Benefit Corporation.
